My wife and I spent the last two Saturdays on Vallisaari to visit the Helsinki Biennial. It was amazing! I've never seen an exhibition before that blended with nature so organically before.
It clearly shows that human ingenuity can coexist with and complement nature. Many of the exhibited objects were inspiring and touching. Viewing them filled me with harmony. It all felt like a step toward a healthier future.
And it was so great that we could bring our dogs with us to enjoy the long hike. Because, yes, you had to walk a while to get from one object to the next. I really appreciated it, as it gave us time to think and to discuss what we saw instead of overwhelming us.
My personal favorites were the singing tree trunks and the bioluminescent garden.
